Customer Reviews
The tower itself looks nice the lobby although not massive or overly themed looks good, nice welcome with aloha when we arrived although all 4 or 5 cast members standing in the lobby would do that every single time you passed which was a little too much but that's just my opinion. We thought the room looked very nice, had a studio with resort view so monorail and parking lot but was reasonably high floor. We liked the decor and bed was comfy and nice balcony to sit and have a coffee with straight view of sunset. Decor of shower was good and worked well and little kitchenette was a plus. Nicely connected to the actual Polynesian resort. Pool was nice we only experienced it one day due to the deep freeze! But just a pool not really themed at all unless the splashpad area for kids. We stayed in a 1 bedroom, 2 bath "villa" suite at the Island Tower, which met the needs of our group of two grandparents, 2 young grandsons. The boys slept in the living area, which had two fold down "Murphy" beds, while we had our own private bedroom and bath. And what a bath! Loved the spaciousness, the private toilet room, two separate vanities, and the large shower. The common area also had a large, full bath for the boys to use. As this is a newly built property, the unit was absolutely up-to-date with large, modern appliances and lovely decor. ||It is very, very expensive, so we rented a resort view (basically a view of the compressors on a nearby rooftop), but we were able to enjoy a view of the electrical parade and the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the Wave Break Terrace. ||
This was my favorite Disney resort we’ve ever stayed at. The view from the 10th floor was absolutely incredible. You could watch the firework show at Magic Kingdom and hear the music. The room had a double sided tv which was super cool. Plenty of space and great decorations.
The new towers are absolutely amazing. The views and atmosphere are so relaxing. The cast members were phenomenal. It’s a wonderful new addition to the Polynesian. We had a studio room which is perfect for two people. The only thing that needed improvement was house keeping.
Looking for a tropical island atmosphere? This is the place to come explore some Polynesian art, culture, and cuisine. Located between the Polynesian and Grand Floridian resorts is this newest DVC resort. Decor is themed after the Moana movies. Check out the website for complete list of amenities, including 4 separate viewing terraces. Kids love the inter-active splash pad and pool. Adults love the quiet pool and hot tub. Theme Park side has views of the Magic Kingdom for nightly fireworks. There are speakers along the walkway to enjoy the fireworks music and audio OR guests can tune their TVs to Channel 72 to enjoy the sounds in their rooms. The Wailulu sit-down restaurant has good menu options for adults and kids. There is an open-air bar attached to the restaurant. You can walk to the
