Really nice. Small,quaint, but very clean cabins with nice northern decor. Great views of the lake, spacious decks and nice new docks. Our kids love the little playground, and the access to a boat, paddle boat,and kayaks. There is a floating platform to swim to,and it has a slide, which the kids also loved. My only request would be to have each cabin have it's own fire pit,rather than a community pit. But it's a small issue. All in all, you can't beat it for the price.
Stayed there for almost a week a year ago. Going back again in a few weeks! We loved everything about our stay there! Edit: we have stayed at Island Lake Resort twice since my initial review above. We love it every time. The owners operators are fabulous and the cabins are clean and cozy with great views of a wonderful lake. Getting ready to make our second trip there this season!
We've visited twice now. I truly enjoy the beautiful setting and peaceful atmosphere. Cabin 4 is dated and a little worn, but clean and perfectly acceptable. The owner's are accommodating and helpful. My kids spent all day out in the water or on the paddle boats and kayaks. Hubby was up fishing from the dock every morning. I loved starting my mornings with coffee on the deck and spending hours paddling around Island Lake on a kayak too. Stayed three nights over the labor day weekend and never left the resort!
Our home away from home. We have stayed here 6 summers and 2x last summer, inviting the whole family. Clean, quiet cabins and grounds. The pups alive paddle boating to the island and running free. Owners are friendly and helpful. Prices are WAY affordable compared to other Northern rentals
Beautiful place to unwind, kickback, feel the breeze off the lake and listen to the loons as you watch the sunrise or set! Resort is 5 star for cabin life with all the amenities you need. The owners take great care of their properties, make all their guest feel welcomed and provide all the toys you need when you're feeling like getting out on the lake! GREAT PLACE GOOD PEOPLE
