Iron Horse Hotel

This was quaint small town stay with amazing accommodations and the history to go with it!! Definitely want to come back and explore some more of the surrounding area. Will definitely stay here again!!

Each room is decorated differently. All rooms feature a claw foot bathtub. They do offer ground d floor rooms. Many boutiques to visit on the strip. Sundays are very quiet and shops are closed today. There is quite a bit more traffic than I would expect for this small railroad town! There are no tvs, fridges, or microwaves in the rooms, but they offer a lobby upstairs that has those features. This establishment used to offer a dinner before covid shut it down. There is a small diner on the strip to order food but not open on Sunday. As well as an antique shop. **Side note! This town was inspiration to the red dead redemption 2 game creators and is featured on it with a little story line.**The experience was well worth it

The Iron Horse Hotel is a perfect destination for leisurely travel or casual vacationing. The relaxing accommodations are great for decompressing and experiencing some low-velocity downtime. Sit in an antique chair and peruse a novel. Sit on the second floor deck patio and enjoy the warm weather. Relax in the guest lounge with a hot coffee or tea. Curl up under the covers and take your second nap of the day. This is a destination stay, if you do it right. The towns of Blackwater and Arrow Rock both offers side trips for local jaunts and Arrow Rock State Historic Site is close by for history buffs. Even nicer than the photos! Beautiful setting, surrounded by patio seating and flowers. Inside is well-maintained, with lovely dining area, community refrigerator, and glasses and mugs to borrow. Each room is unique; we stayed in “New Orleans”. No TV in any room, which we appreciated. |Nicole greeted us warmly and helped us settle in. Heather does a great job maintaining rooms and gardens. Loved the kitties outside!|Delicious breakfast served 9:00-9:30. Such a unique place! Will recommend to others!

This was a treat. The inn was beautiful and peaceful. The train still passes by so you’ll hear the horn and feel the rumble when it passes.
