I was really concerned that it would be an old musty room with dirty red carpets and raggedy old furniture. Thankfully, IT WASN'T! The rooms have been renovated from previously posted pictures years ago. Since I couldn't find any updated pictures online, I've included some from my stay. The laundry room was impeccably clean ($1.25 wash, 1.25 dry) all the lint traps were empty. Room was clean and fresh. Breakfast was included... biscuits, pork sausage, pancakes, instant oatmeal, boiled eggs, egg patties, muffins, bagels, coffee & hot water for tea/ hot cocoa. It's on base, so depending on what you need, you're either right there, or 10-15 minutes from base exit. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by this location. I would definitely stay here a
I had a room with a kitchen, which was good because I made my own meals. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable. I especially liked the desk set up, which is on wheels enabling user freedom to set up and study how you prefer. Things I think could make it better is to install water bottle fillers on each floor (there is only one, on the ground floor) and to find a way to provide free laundry like other military base hotels - it cost $1.25 for a wash and $1.25 to use the drier. The hotel is a bit isolated from MCX, Commissary, Q town, and the gym. It was quiet though, and there is a good kiosk in the reception with a variety of food and convenience items. Reception staff are helpful, professional, and attentive.
Can’t beat it. On base. Across from the club. Rooms are clean. And breakfast is included. Great deal for a tad marine.
We stayed in the smallest room the first night, two queen beds. My biggest thing is getting a great night's sleep and the bed needs to be updated asap! Very uncomfortable. The rest of our stay we had the bigger room with the kitchen and the beds were a tad bit better. Service and location was great. One elevator was broken. And breakfast was ok.
Dingy and run down. Mattresses are terrible. Bathroom looks like a vandalized thrift store. Room smelled like a gallon of concentrated Lysol had been spilled on the floor. Shower handle came off in my hand. TV remote missing batteries, open, and right in front of tv so no quality control. Pull out bed linen bag missing sheets. No plugs anywhere near the beds let alone USB ports. No toilet paper holder jut TP on the counter so a lot like being in the field Horrible. For the price, which is comparable to local hotels, this place is a dump. Staff friendly. Breakfast was lame. Stay in town! Way way overpriced. Temporary logging should NOT be costing Marines the same as a nice hotel off-base.
