Inn At Kelly's Ford

While it is still a beautiful place, it definitely was run down with the new ownership. The horses needed to be better maintained and the pastures needed mowing. Everyone was nice, but its not the old Kelly's Ford. They closed early because it wasnt busy, however their rooms were full, we were there and watched about 20 other people be turned away. It wasn't busy because it was just before 5. If management would have waited 20 more minutes they would have been packed. Its a beautiful place and lovely people, I just hope new owners can better maintain it and keep doors open during dinner hours. I know if we booked a room and the pub was closed I would be so upset. My Brother was in town and wanted to go somewhere different. So we went to the Pub downstairs. There was music outside on the patio. There was also a wedding rehearsal party. Not too bad unless the patio doors were sliding open. We were to the only two in the Pub for the first 30 minutes, then the wedding party started coming in little by little until the whole place was just them and us. Very loud, rude, apologized 3x but with alcohol consumption, it didn't matter. Little kids running around the pub banging on the patio doors, screaming and constantly running in and outside the patio doors.. I could not even hear him talk to me and he was seated next to me, not across the table. The wedding party did not even offer to pick up our tab, since we were the only ones in there besides

Summer 2019: Shocked and saddened at how far this place has been run into the ground. What used to be "our place" for several years now has none of the amenities that kept us coming back. No restaurants, no horse rides, an uncared for pool ... $35 breakfast (a bagel and scrambled eggs ... they don't have cream cheese, and nobody knew how to make a bloody mary). However, if you're really into weeds and brown grass, this is the place for you! A few other things ... We had an email confirmation of a room booked for 4 ... for the kids, wife, and me. They argued that they only had us down for 2 (email reservation be damned!), and would charge us extra for breakfast. When the kids went to take a bath, the drain stop was broken. Very nice stay. Guada at the front desk was wonderful. She was so helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The view and the grounds are beautiful. The pub and resteraunt had an issue and were not open which made eating a little difficult since the location is not near other options for meals. Breakfast was still served to the guests and it was delicious. Earl was the breakfast cook and was he great. We had a very enjoyable time.

The food was fantastic! My wife and I had an incredible time during our stay. We highly recommend this place. It was our first time here but we will return again. Omar has done a great job here!.... By the way the ribeye and cheesecake was perfect!!
