Gorgeous, small TN State Park campground. Lake with Mountain View’s. Well maintained, and 2 playgrounds, at the campground, 2 at the SP. Paddle boat rentals, volleyball, basketball court, trails and Disc Golf. Each site is FHU, and has picnic table and fire-ring. Sites are concrete, our site was partially shaded. Firewood can be purchased at the camp-store. Bathroom and bathhouse is clean. All of the many Trash cans with lids, emptied daily. Staff and rangers are amazing! Interpretive Ranger Natalie, is so awesome with the kids. Scheduled activities where they made crafts, she shared the campground pet snake, made s’mores, and was knowledgeable sharing information about the Junior Ranger Program with the children and families.
I’ll rate this as someone living in an RV fulltime without children and know that state parks are popular for families with small children especially on weekends. We thoroughly enjoyed the park grounds, lots of trails to hike, my favorite was Ballard Lake. The campground is small and when full can feel crowded depending on your site. I recommend the outer edge sites, those in the center are less private and surround an open area where lots of families hang out for big get-togethers. We were there on a weekend and it was full, with a big family reunion going on. BUT, it was extraordinarily quiet! People were very respectful of quiet hours. Camphosts kept the place clean. Just a lovely park all around. Sites were well maintained and level, except for #48 which has a severe down slope, I poin
Stunning park and grounds ....amazing rv place. They have full hookups which is great and it's quiet ...several playgrounds , Frisbee golf and paddle boats. For traveling as a retired couple we enjoyed the scenery and peaceful environment. We will absolutely go back
I stumbled across this BEAUTIFUL park just riding and spending time with Jehovah God. It's very clean and definitely surrounded by Jehovah's majestic creations. If you're looking for a relaxing place to draw close to God, visit this wonderful park. I'll definitely will visit again ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful park, but we were left without a toilet or shower at night! We arrived after 7 PM. The sign on the door says: “Take an open site, pay in the morning.” Fine. We did exactly that — took an open site and were ready to pay in the morning. But at 11 PM, ALL restrooms and showers were locked with a code sent only via SMS to registered guests. The problem is that after 7 PM there was no host, no ranger, no one — so there was no way we could have received any code at all. And yet we were expected to spend the night without access to a toilet. In the end, I had to go into the bushes in the middle of the night. Does the park administration really believe someone would sneak in after 11 PM just to use a toilet or take a shower? Ridiculous. Why promise morning payment if during the night (
