Indian Lake State Park Campground

We had a great stay while at the campground. We stayed at D68 right on the water. The campground is pretty nicely laid out. The campsites were a decent size and I didn’t feel as if we were right on top of our neighbors like at some campgrounds. There is the Cherokee trail to hike on, a nice beach, and a nice little dog park. There is a dog beach but it was really muddy while we were here. Nice little camp store with a good selection of ice cream and other essentials. I would definitely stay here again.

Make sure to choose your site wisely. Negatives: 1. The goose poop was everywhere & impossible to not step in. It was on the roads, and on the campsite. We had to continuously make them go away. The department of wildlife needs to do something about the exploding population as it made for an unpleasant weekend. 2. Restrooms need some updating. They are old. There is NO shower house in section D. Positives: 1. The hosts were so nice & friendly, especially Maggie. 2. The pool was clean and well maintained. 3. The campground itself was very pretty, manicured, and clean. 4. Definitely a great place to go if you like water sports. 5. Very nice place to bike ride too. Just remember to do a bit of research on your site, especially if you are near water.

Looking for a great place to camp for a weekend or a week this is the spot for you. they do have plenty of sites to chose from make sure you do research on your site you pick out. The fishing is pretty good in the canals. They do have boat rentals which are high in price to get on the lake. There are plenty of restaurants around town for adults and kids. This year the go carts and put put are reopened so go enjoy the fun.

We enjoy this campground very much. I would definitely recommend looking at site photos. It was hot during our stay but if you had shade and the lake breeze it was better. They also offer activities for campers.
