Indian Head Motel

Only issue was hot water goes from super warm to barely warm and back and forth.. I love the vibe here and super nice room. Clean, quiet, big tv, comfortable beds, and right across the street from a grocery store. Has an old country feel and that is right up my ally.. I would say bring a power strip and/or extension cord if you have a few things to plug in.

Entering the building , it smelled musty. The room smelled the same but a little less intense. Building doors were blocked open on both ends of the building which kinda kills any sense of security. Room door had a knob lock and slide chain but the chain was bent and wouldn't latch all the way. Carpets were filthy and had many stains. The bathtub surface was peeling terribly. When I went to bathe, they're was little water pressure and no warm water at all although there was plenty at the hand sink. So, couldn't even bathe. However, I didn't see any bugs of any sort. Overall, if you just need a layover, might be okay. But I don't feel like there was good value for the price I was charged.

Conveniently located. Price is average. Close to shopping and restaurants. Mc Donald's is close by (surprised to find they had the best coffee in the area) Attended an event at the Fort Knox Paintball Field, so it was great to be close to the field. Having a bed and a shower after running around a paintball field all weekend was great. But.. the shower in our room could have used some scrubbing... I am not a picky guy and I've been pretty poor in my lifetime... but it doesn't really cost much to scrub a shower. It won't stop me from utilizing this motel when another event is at Fort Knox, A funky shower is better than no shower. Hope next time the shower is not worse than this. Overall it was great with the exception of the shower conditions

Motel is the only one in the town, so not much choice. Shopping very near, across the street. A few restaurants within easy driving distance, a few fast food within walking distance. Price is quite reasonable per room. Beds not very comfortable.

Visit the Motel that hosted the Ford Pinto trial participants. Thats its claim to fame
