Customer Reviews
This hotel is like walking into the 40’s in a good way. I read the other reviews that were all negative and was surprised to see how cute and spacious our suite was. There was a plaque on the door with the suite name, the shower was tiled and had wonderful water pressure. There were lots of shampoo, conditioners and soaps. We had a whole living room with a larger fridge, a big closet and lots of room in the bedroom. The staff were friendly and nice. Loved the old time vibe!
We were here a couple of weeks ago for All American Week (2025) and I have to say I am not sure where some of these reviews came from. They actually had me nervous. We chose to stay at Carolina Inn. So many of the reviews were wrong! Man, what a nice place!! It was more like an apartment with stocked kitchen, a pass thru dining room that opens to a patio. Two full baths and shower pressure that will blow your skin off. The bed was so comfortable. You also have a separate living room area. I highly recommend staying at the Carolina Inn. We had breakfast every morning at the main hotel.
One Star due to lowest possible rating. I made my reservation in November 2021 for February 2022. The reservation process worked as you would expect (END OF GOOD). When checking in, I did not receive the room I had booked and was put in "Normandy House" instead of in Moon. Arriving at the Normandy House, there is no parking so you have to park across the street (not too terrible). There are no ramps for handicapped or disabled people and no ramps to bring luggage up, only stairs. I made it to the main entrance....LOCKED. I wandered around the outside looking for a side entrance, and found one that works with the room key. || I made it inside.....I figure out I'm on the second floor. There is no elevator, only stairs. So, now I'm carrying 60 pound suitcases up NARROW stairs. I fin
They are trying to maintain this facility. To be 100% honest, without understanding its historical significance, I am writing my review based upon current conditions. BLUF: It seems to be stuck in the eighties, and there is the occasional 80s odor from what I can only describe as a Granny's old wet bar that had years of utilization that lingers around. I must give the service at five stars because they were exceptionally professional and polite the entire stay. Everything was in working order (mini microwave and fridge), including the air conditioning. The bathroom was clean and free of mold, as were the carpets and somewhat dated furniture. Everyone has their own standards, so in some aspects, it's hard to give an accurate opinion. But for what it's worth, the bed was comfortable, the sh
I’ll be upfront: I rarely post reviews—this may actually be my first one. My family and I are PCSing from JBLM, Washington, and we’re excited to begin this new chapter at our new duty station. We’re staying here for two nights, and we’re currently on the first night of our stay. To begin, I want to commend whoever took the photos featured in the promotional materials for this hotel—great job making it look appealing. Unfortunately, the actual experience doesn’t quite match the images. While the historic charm of the hotel is noted, the price versus the current state of the facility is not justified. The rooms feel dated and lack the modern updates expected for the price. Though accommodations are meant to be basic for transient stays, staying here with family brings a sense of “the Army d
