At a certain point DOGE needs to cancel this place just turn it into barracks. I would rather come here and be told that I am staying in barracks and know what to expect than come to a "hotel" and have to deal with this. The constant issues of no A/C, no internet, the absolute garbage breakfast. One washer and dryer for an entire floor. Skin burns from the linens, no hot water at times. This place is an absolute scam. Fort Lee somehow manages to run a hotel that is amazing and 3 times the size of this place but here at the army aviation center of excellence we get mold infested rooms for our lengthy stays. It only exists because we have no choice other than spending thousands of our own money. Absolute trash. Staff is extremely nice but this place is a dumpster fire.

I am retired Army and we travel to many military bases to enjoy the experience. I was at Fort Rucker on several occasions during the 1990s and Fort Novosel has changed considerably since then. We stayed in Bldg 310, room 205 and the room was average for an IHG hotel on a military base. I guess we were spoiled from many IHG nights at Redstone Arsenal which is much nicer. The receptionists are pleasant and efficient and allowed us to check-in at 11:30 a.m. we were given a complimentary evening meal and breakfast. | We enjoyed sitting at the nearby picnic tables. Big Mike’s bar is 100 meters from Bldg 310. A running track is close by. A gas station, beverage supplies, and clothing sales are 200 meters away. If you are planning an early departure, Ruf Ave. is closed to vehicular traffic fr

Let me summarizefor my stay so far since 22 June 23- Internet averages 9mbps. Ac went out 4 times times and finally got a new room but the new room constantly sounds like it will vibrate out of the wall. Most things are sub par. Breakfast is included but it's the same dfac 4/5 days of the week when I went it was the funky omletes and turkey sausage. OJ and coffee was decent. Staff is pretty friendly. Kitchenettes are convenient but hard to do much with tiny space and constantly setting off the smoke detector. I would never pay what the army pays to stay here. Sad to see an IHG hotel like this and the worst part is others I'm in class with have worse rooms lol. Update* due to the review the manager reached out to me and came by to adjust the noise of the ac unit which sounds better. The em

I had booked my room in the later part of the evening with no issues, the front desk worker was extremely nice and helpful and explained everything I needed to know. The hotel is older but after all, you are renting a room on a military post that is very old in itself so you can't expect extreme luxury conditions but overall was a very nice room. They offer hot breakfast in the mornings which alone is worth the price. The internet was OK, it wasn't the greatest or fastest internet but I'm not renting a hotel room to play online games. The laundry and the building was free to use you just had to supply your own cleaning detergent. Parking was easy on both sides of the building with entrances on both sides as well. Room had ample lighting, There was no dark areas and everything was well l

Overall, we were pretty well satisfied (bldg 308..main) Very good rates, clean environment and a good breakfast with great dining facilities. That alone is worth $15-20 for 2 guests elsewhere. Bldg 308 is the only one I can speak about. Granted, it is a bit old and needs some updating and I am sure it would be but try squeezing money from the Army! You know how that goes! Additionally, I had an issue with the TV which was fixed immediately. I needed additional towels and they were brought quickly. I have to say the ladies at the desk are friendly and eager to help. If you are expecting Hampton ($200 per night) you may not be satisfied with the physical plant but if you need clean place to rest and kick back, I feel you will like it.
