Idle Spurs Inn

We were pheasant hunting and stopped at Casey's. Googled places to stay. The idle Spurs was close with good reviews and we found out they had a cleaning room for our pheasant. Very friendly when checking in, very nice/cute room with a great cleaning station (stainless steel table with water), very reasonable price and comfortable beds. I would recommend this motel. Thanks!

I pulled up in the outside the building was nice neat well kept. I went inside and was greeted warmly, checked in and was told that I needed anything to just let them know. I went into my room and it was surprising and lovely. I’ve been told they redecorated lately and the rustic feel and the clean minimalistic space was just right. There’s a small refrigerator and a microwave and a nice television a comfy bed, beautiful shower with a rain head. I was happy to find tile and rustic flooring...no carpeting! I highly recommend this lovely gem to rest you head. Nice leather recliner.

The staff was amazing. It is locally owned and run. For an independent operator the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. There were a number of boaters staying the nights we were there. So probably great for fisherman. The room has two double beds so it was kind of small. My one issue was the shower floor was wavy, it had hills and valleys which one doesn't expect while taking a shower indoors.

This is an old motel that we have stayed in in the past. It was nothing to write home about. ||||BUT…||||It has new owners, apparently and this place has been brought back from the brink. Everything is newly renovated in a western theme and it’s really a nice place to stay. Memory foam beds, vinyl flooring, sliding “barn door” on the bathroom, fresh paint and framed corrugated metal headboards. ||||I wasn’t crazy when my husband suggested that we stay here, because we have usually stayed elsewhere when we return to his hometown and the couple of times we have stayed here it didn’t impress me. I’m so glad that we stayed here and want to spread the news that this place is great. ||||It doesn’t look like much from the exterior but that may soon be renovated as well. ||||There is no breakfas

The rooms were all booked but someone cancelled and we got the room...great price....The Inn is just slightly past Hwy 12 which takes people into S.D. The room is a little narrow but very adequate...two full-sized fluffy beds...I needed to push off the wall to get into the bed but that wasn't bad..I'm short..... The staff was very friendly and when we were short a towel they immediately retrieved not just one but 2 thick bath towels....the shower was great...we loved the bathroom light fixtures....we are hoping to be able to stay there again on our next visit to my son's hometown ...oh yes..they are pet friendly...our little dog was thrilled about that
