Hyde Beach House

I want to share my experience at the High Beach House. Honestly, it was a really lovely stay. My friend and I had so much fun. I really liked the service, although I wasn’t too happy about the wait at the valet parking. But overall, it was a really beautiful experience, a really lovely stay. The housekeepers left the rooms spotless, they were really sweet. And also, at the pool, which is where we spent most of our time during the whole stay, we met a pool attendant, Gina. Excellent customer service,very helpful, a really friendly person. Honestly, we shared moments and smiles many times. A real plus five stars for her and for the property as a whole. The location was excellent; we could walk everywhere. Right across the street, there was the beach. Honestly, a very nice experience. Regards

Honestly, it was spectacular! We had a wonderful time; I went with my husband and my daughter. Fortunately, the weather was perfect, and we stayed for three nights in a one bedroom unit that was quite comfortable and very modern. My husband loved the gym, and everything was really lovely. We enjoyed the beach and the pool. One thing I’d like to highlight is the service we received both in the rooms and at the pool. Since we hadn’t brought any toys or balls for our daughter to play with at the beach, we were pleasantly surprised by the excellent pool attendant, Gina. We’re very grateful to her because she provided our daughter with toys to play with, both at the pool and at the beach, and also provided us with towels. This has been the worst hotel experience I have ever had, from check-in to checkout. I originally booked a prepaid four-night reservation through Priceline for $1,731.38, expecting everything to be settled before arrival. Instead, the moment I walked in, I felt racially profiled, dismissed, and treated as though I did not belong there or could not afford to stay there. As a Black woman, the way I was greeted was uncomfortable and degrading. Unexpected charges & no transparency On February 2nd, during check-in, I was blindsided when I was told I needed to authorize $1,980 at the hotel — even though the reservation was marked as prepaid. Priceline had only charged the first night ($351.51) and the hotel transferred that toward their own balance. There was no warning or disclaimer about this,

We loved our stay with our 3 older kids. The pools were great, view amazing. The staff in front including Fiona, Stan and Pat were patient, helpful and friendly every day even during the busiest time of the year. Valet team was amazing especially Daniel. Also very busy and he was always friendly but professional and they ran things smoothly. Loved how you could text for your car and it would be waiting. Only issue was elevators which would get backed up from 11-1. But only during busiest couple of days.

Positive: The rooms were nice and clean. There was a very nice view. The pool was wonderful. Negative: THE ELEVATORS! A minimum of 10 minute wait for an elevator ride. There are almost NO amenities at this hotel. There's a bar at the pool that serves food but only ever has one person working there.
