Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa

Beautiful, comfortable, great bar, and lounge I ordered the nachos. It was delicious. Served on a cookie sheet. Huge shareable portions. We walked the Beautiful walking paths and enjoyed the out door fire pit. Gazed upon the stars. They had bicycles ,horses, golf,swimming, crafts,spa, and great food, The beds and pillows we very comfortable. Fabulous view from the 4th floor.

This is an amazing resort. I recommend checking out a bike and taking the path to the left toward the stables. You can freely pet the horses and even buy a bag of food to feed them. It was so therapeutic, including the bike ride! (The bikes could use some love, but they work.) The hot tub has some wonderfully powerful jets, and the adult pool is saltwater and awesome to swim around in, even in January. The beds and pillows were excellent, and the quality of the building is top-notch. They also offered free s'mores every day at 7 pm to make at one of their outdoor bonfires, which was a cool addition. Also, it's not noted in many places, but there's a wellness room next to the fitness center that you can use for free to relax or do yoga.

Live nearby and have only been there to eat and walk through the cottonwood trails by the Rio Grande. Food continues to go downhill yet go up in price. Sad, as there are limited options for fine dining in nearby Bernalillo and Placitas, where the hotel makes no effort to attract that kind of business. Very nice independent gallery adjoining the hotel that features the work of local, talented artists. Best hotel feature: view of the Sandia Mountains from the bar's large outdoor patio.

Good food and atmosphere. Beautiful holiday decor. But we had to change rooms almost immediately. We were on 3rd floor in an outer building on the side overlooking Sandia Mountain and some plumbing noises kept happening every 40 seconds or so. Fortunately I had read a recent review about this and took it seriously. I went back to the lobby and asked to be moved. I don’t understand why they put us in a room where they could’ve guessed there was a problem based on a previous guest’s comments. |The hotel was sparsely populated and it felt a bit disappointing not to have the outdoor fireplaces lit, nor any other group activities midweek. This place would be more fun and interesting during in a different season. |Lastly, I wanted to have a massage but the tour I got thru the spa areas convinced
