Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa

We had an amazing family week at Lost Pines. From the pool and lazy river, kids craft times, movie nights, time to pet all the animals and horse and pony riding—never ran out of great relaxing things to do as a family with our daughter. We cannot say enough good about the staff. Every person was friendly, knowledgeable and ready to be helpful. Elliot our breakfast server was amazing, Erin our dinner server could not have been a nicer person, Kelby was the sweetest to our daughter, Alyssa another excellent and super knowledgeable dinner server, Diane remembered us by name each day when we ran into her, and Pablo in charge of the activities and was so helpful and kind to us, all the staff that helped with all the activities were friendly and awesome. This was our third stay at Hyatt Lost Pines and the second year we’ve picked it for our New Year’s Eve celebration—and honestly, it’s becoming a tradition we love! From the moment we arrived, the service was fantastic. ||||Sylvia and Kayla at the front desk greeted us with such warmth, Emma at the omelet station and Luby at the HH breakfast buffet made mornings a treat, and Nate (who helped with our bags) and Dane at valet were so helpful. If this resort cost 60% of what it does, it would be great — but it is way overpriced for what it is. And every little thing is nickle and dimed. Oh, you want to go into the spa facilities? $25 a person a day. The breakfast buffet is $37 a person! A $500 a night room can't have free breakfast?! Come on. And they had mediocre (and still overpriced) coffee throughout the resort. The room was nice with a big TV. The resort amenities were fine. Disc golf course was neat (despite them only loaning you a single mid-range disc). Pool area was good. I would have given 4 stars, but they charged me for resort fees despite that they were not supposed to as that was covered by my Chase Travel booking. The resort has a pleasant Texas flair and the grounds are well maintained. The rooms were very clean, which was appreciated, but they felt dated and not in line with what you’d expect from a 4-star property. While the staff were friendly and polite, overall service execution was highly ineffective, particularly in situations that required coordination or urgency. The on-site restaurants were underwhelming, both in quality and experience, and did not meet expectations for a resort of this caliber. This is a nice destination for families looking for a relaxed getaway with amenities for kids. However, for hosting a business meeting or corporate event, the experience was average at best and fell short in service consistency, food quality, and overall professionalism

The facilities are fantastic at Lost Pines & the fact that they let you use the pool & amenities before you’ve checked in & after you’ve checked out is brilliant. Nice staff & great junior suite.
