Hyatt Regency Greenwich

This is a beautiful hotel. Unfortunately, it’s not well maintained and the service is less than ideal. The pool area is in terrible condition. No towels. The water looks very hazy. The water level in the jacuzzi was concerningly low, search that the water level was actually below the jets. Overall, the room didn’t appear to be very clean (found dark hair throughout the bathroom). I’ve never seen anything like this at a Hyatt, especially the poor condition of the pool area. ||We often travel from the mid Atlantic to the northeast to see family and the location is perfect. I am a Hyatt discoverist and I’m very loyal to the brand and typically have great experiences. Despite the beauty of the hotel, I’m very disappointed with the level of service. We completed online check-in at 10:00 AM and arrived at the hotel around 6:00 PM, after the posted 3:00 PM check-in time. We did experience about a 20-minute wait at the front desk while staff confirmed the room was ready, and communication during that time could have been clearer.||||The lobby music is played throughout the day and, we were informed, until mid-night and was noticeable from our interior-facing room, especially at night. Guests who are sensitive to noise may want to keep this in mind.||||Most staff interactions were neutral, though we did have two standout experiences. Sashika McDonald was especially gracious and helpful, and a friendly maintenance employee with a long white beard also left a positive impression.||||The room showed some signs of wear, but the bed was comfor

Positive: The hotel is in a convenient location. The atrium is beautiful, as is the bar and restaurant area. Staff was our server twice at the restaurant and was excellent which made for a pleasurable dining experience. Negative: There wasn't a hair dryer in the room (maybe that was a fluke?) The mini fridge was nice to have, but I didn't like the LED light illuminated from the fridge when we were trying to sleep. Could use an extra outlet or two next to the mirrored wall/closet.

I stayed here for a few nights and have to rave about the bartenders in the evening Billy & Daniel. They are so fun, make the best drinks & made my experience each night so memorable. Billy makes the best espresso martinis so definitely ask for him to make yours! For breakfast Ruben always was so friendly, and was such a great way to start my morning. Definitely go downstairs to get the food vs ordering it thru room service. I’ll definitely be back but can’t be happier with my experience with this team at this hotel!

The hotel is beautiful and has a cool atrium. It is in a nice quiet area, though there is not much in walking distance around it. The food, including breakfast, water, etc. is quite pricey (like a stadium or an airport), which is frustrating given the lack of options nearby. I would be happy to stay again for a business trip, though.
