Great spot in the heart of Bethesda. Plenty of spots for food within walking distance depending on preference and affordability. Skip the parking and take the metro which is right underneath. If driving vehicles taller than 6'4 may get damaged. The hotel doesn't own the parking garage which is managed by department of transportation/METRO. Will cost $30 a day for parking. Street is busy during the week. Restaurants are high priced but delicious. I would use only on a business trip at the business expense or maybe date night. Im sure it's higher end restruants around I can spend the money on. Rooms not designed for more then two guest or family. At least the one I was in. Bring a water bottle or pay the fee's for buying snacks/beverages in the room. The lobby is great, large enough space
I expected MUCH better for the price. We were there for 5 days. The hotel is located in a "canyon" of high rise buildings. There was no coffee or tea available in our hotel room, breakfast wasn't included in our hotel package, there was no complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby. The "Brown Bag" coffee shop was closed whenever we (and others) wanted to use it and the Morton's dining room is only open for dinner. We had to use Uber to get around, and the fancy hotel portico had NO place to sit to wait for our rides. Apparently our room had not been rented (or heated) before our late check-in, and the first night the bedding extracted warmth from us. I had to change into my long underwear, wool beanie and down vest, but we were still chilled to the bone. The following days the room was warm
I love this hotel and the staff. I travel extensively for work so hotel comfort and client services are so important!|When I walked in I was greeted by Madison Cloud, who was amazing and knowledgeable. I had a long trip and she took care of me and got me into a room so quickly||I did get to meet the Assistant Front Office Manager Carla Williams who helped me with a booking issue. Carla was so friendly and made me feel at home. It is very important to those who travel to feel at home.||The hotel is very up to date and the rooms clean and smell nice. I love the free water with a filling station and to have a fridge and a coffee maker is a great feature that many hotels at this price level have done away with||Overall my experience was great and I will return!
Absolutely scam of a hotel. My mom stayed here for my graduation. My mom, who has never even touched a cigarette, got a fraudulent surcharge of about $350 for smoking. Given there are multiple articles citing that the smoke-detection tech is far too sensitive, the only thing we could think of was it detecting her hair iron/ blow dry brush. I would think twice before booking a stay here because even if you follow the rules, this hotel is in no way shape or form worth the extra amount. Even after calling to inquire about this because it was obviously a surprise charge, the reception team was defensive, abrasive, and worst of all, unhelpful. While we may not be able to get that money back, please save yours and be sure to do your research of places that have REST smoke detection tech.
I’m in DC to attend IMF and World Bank annual meetings, and staying at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. Location not too close to DC proper but hotel right on top of redline metro a straight shot to DuPont circle, Union station and metro center and other key points across DC. Also rates are a lot more reasonable than what DC locations are charging for this week. Value for money. Frankly the hotel could use a refurb but the old school charm of the very clean and large rooms are an appeal. Being on a business trip, I can spread out and enjoy all the space inside the room. The staff are professional and super efficient. They understand people are busy and they move fast to solve problems and get where you need to be. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby which is convenient. I forgot m
