Hyatt Place Tampa Wesley Chapel

I had a brief one-night stay at this Hyatt and was thoroughly impressed by the leadership. While I encountered a few minor issues with my room, the General Manager, Mr. G. Mandosia, handled everything with the utmost professionalism. He personally ensured that my concerns were addressed for myself and future guests. It’s rare to see a GM so hands-on and committed to providing a great experience. Highly recommend for the service alone!" Very pleased with all aspects of our recent stay. Location was great, offering easy access to all of our plans. Hotel itself is lovely and rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. All staff were extremely helpful and courteous. We wanted to specifically mention Cynthia who assisted us in the breakfast service area. She greeted us warmly and helped us find what we needed. We asked for grits and she personally went and happily made them for us and reminded us to return the next morning and she would make them again. She is truly a delight and made us feel very cared for.

This hotel is right where it needed to be for a short travel to a local travel destination. They had hot breakfast but my kids was really excited about a waffle maker to make hot waffles but it was waffles in a bag that you had to put through a toaster. The room was good but the floor in the room needed a deep clean as we could see stains on it in multiple spots. The bathroom was ok for the most part but could have been cleaned better before we checked in.

Talk about a great, clean hotel! If only every Hyatt could be up to this standard. Check-in was relatively smooth, had to wait a little due to a credit card machine issue for the person in front of me. I like that they can just use the card stored on my account to speed things up. The king bed room was spotless and spacious! Everything was well designed and in good condition. The blackout shades worked well. Breakfast was well above average for continental. Donut holes, French toast, and tortillas were all nice additions above standard. I really loved having a free charger for my car overnight! What a nice feature. It is a little slow at only 6 kWh, so it took over 10 hours. The highway was a little noisy, but it didn’t keep me up like I’ve had problems with at other hotels.

Positive: Looked clean, fresh, updated, exterior and interior were up to date and pleasant. The room and the bed were comfortable. Negative: The breakfast includes eggs. The eggs appeared and tasted like there were from a large container or egg yolks that you pour into a pan and cook. The presentation was very small crumbs and not really like scrambled eggs.
