Dear Hotel Manager, Since I wrote you twice to your email address but you didn’t reply I am writing here to formally express my dissatisfaction with several serious issues I experienced during my recent stay at your hotel (Feb 20-21). First, I was informed that the gym facilities were unavailable. As a result, I had to go outside in heavy rain to access alternative facilities. This caused me to catch a cold and experience physical discomfort. The availability of a gym was one of the reasons I chose your hotel, and this inconvenience significantly affected my stay. Second, the toilet in my room was not functioning properly and could not be flushed. As a result, waste accumulated in the toilet, creating an extremely unpleasant odor and making it impossible for me to rest comfortably in th
The room got very hot when set to 60F in the winter, we had to open window. It seemed like only 1 elevator worked, we would wait 2-5 minutes every time we needed to use the elevator it was very frustrating. Otherwise great stay, clean, quiet. Great staff.
I cannot believe this is a “Hyatt Centric”. No way is it a 4-star hotel, the best I would give is 2-star! The same hotel in Hong Kong is almost like a 5-star with so much more to offer hotel guests. This one in NYC is absolutely unacceptable. The only positive thing is a spacious room. The room has two paper cups and nothing else! No coffee machine, not even a hot water kettle, no tea or coffee… when asked about it, reception told us that free coffee is offered in the lounge area and only in the morning. However, no one offers this information unless you ask about it. You also have to request daily housekeeping. I have stayed in numerous “Hyatt” brand hotels, and this one has the worse hotel operator ever. Plus NYC is extremely expensive in terms of hotels, so for the same amount of money,
It was a nice hotel room and location. We drove a pick up and the hardest part of the trip was parking it. There was thankfully a lot nearby that could accommodate. Otherwise it was an easy subway ride from South Ferry to and from Midtown. The hotel location was mainly quiet, not a lot of street traffic, though we did hear loud music playing, not sure where it was coming from as it was somewhere outside the hotel but there was no nightclub nearby. Biggest thing we did not like were the pillows - but that may be a personal preference. Did not check out the fitness center
Good news first: Sizable bathroom, big shower, and good water pressure. A pullout hallway mirror was a pretty neat concept. Electric blackout curtain. Bad news: The HVAC system. In our room, didn't matter what you adjusted thermostat to, the only option was too hot. A fan in the room couldn't offset that. The bed is strangely low. A business associate thought his was a Murphy bed, upon first seeing it. Not very comfortable, though the bedding was. Our floor was uneven, so if you pulled out the rolling desk chair it rolled away. Didn't hate location. Walked twice to Brooklyn Bridge and over. Beautiful water views very nearby. Room view was of a skyscraper canyon. Staff very nice. On-site bar super-pricey.
