Hunter's Friend Resort - with EV Charging

The room was very clean. We were upgraded to a two bedroom unit because our room was not ready, which was nice. There were plenty of towels. The beds were comfy. I would not call it a resort. It’s a cramped older motel on a tiny lot with no lake views. There is a smoking area much too close to the rooms and it reeks. The water is awful. My bath water was nearly muddy. Rust color dirt lined the sides and bottom of the tub after it drained and there was an odor. Inadequate hot water- it ran out quickly.

Coming as a large family group of12 people, the rooms were nice and clean and very accommodating. They have everything you need and very nice appliances. They have several areas to sit outside and relax. They even have a grill and a couple of large patios. I really enjoyed talking with the owners, they were so friendly and helpful. I ended up having to call them late at night because my daughter locked us out of the room by putting in the wrong passcode too many times. They were so kind and understanding and just reset it over the phone. There just aren't many people like them anymore, they're very down to earth and hospitable. I'm glad we had the pleasure to stay there. I also learned a few things from the owners about electric cars. I've owned one for the past 2 years and am still learn

I'm so beyond impressed. The location was great. The owner was extremely kind and communicated details perfectly. The room was the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed at. I've stayed at numerous, $500 a night luxury hotels that didn't even come close to how clean this place was. The bed was so incredibly comfortable as well. I will definitely return.

Excellent experience! Our room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The air conditioner worked well and the beds were comfortable. The kitchenette was perfect for preparing and enjoying small meals. The staff was friendly and helpful. The outside patio deck and pool area was also very nice. We will definitely stay here again.

We were in search of a room for the night. No we didn't reserve just showed up. Mike gave us a great room and even went in and turned our ac on so we could go ahead and find dinner. They had the choice of movies to pick out if we wanted, which was a great thing to offer. The rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable and pillows were great. Not those fold and fold pillows just to think you had a pillow. The towels were very nice and the hot water was great. Mike was very helpful with information of things we were interested in doing. Will we go back absolutely. Thank you for a great night.
