Hunky Dory is an amazing place for a weekend or week long getaway! So peaceful and the staff is wonderful!

Heaven on Earth! My family has been going to Hunky Dory since 1988. It's rustic and in the middle of nowhere. Your cell phone might not have service, but who needs it?! Breakfast, lunch and dinner, are served in the main lodge, included in the price. The lake is beautiful and is great for fishing largemouth bass, pike and bluegill. Prepare to have your stress and worries melt away as you read a book on your porch overlooking Lake Clare. P.S. - Bring coolers for beverages as there are no fridges. There's a convenience store (Pap's) a few miles away to stock up.

Couldn't stop thinking about Hunky Dory today even though I haven't been there for fifty years. My family (The Knickerbockers: Earl and Ruth and kids David, Lois and George) vacationed there in the 1950s and early 1960s, when we lived in Chicago. The trip in a small over packed car with three kids in the back seat usually took about eight hours. We were so happy when the toll road finally went all the way to Beloit. We usually stayed in Fisherman's Dream. We have fond memories of hayrides, water skiing, horse back riding, the red airplane swing, talent night, the bell calling you to meals, friendly people and the song "The more we get together the happier we are" Do they still sing that? Love, love , love Hunky Dory!

Great place to have fun with family and friends. Don't have friends. You will make some there. A family owned and operated. Love them all. Great place for ladies and Tom boys. We have fun. Love it. A real woman's​ vacation. Coffee ready at 6:30 am. Breakfast at 8:00 am - 9:00 am. Thank you Jesus and owners.
