Hume Lake Campground

Gorgeous, stunning, well-maintained campground. Labor Day Weekend is pretty crowded with those who come for the annual Country Fair. Lots of families, dogs, bikes, pop-up tents, kayaks, etc! The trail around the lake is great for walking or jogging. There’s no cell service up in the mountains and the roads to get to the campground are very windy. There are several little shops and stores for snacks or Hume apparel. Picked up a few postcards at the Hume Lake General store and noticed there’s a post office right behind the store. It’s like a little town! There are kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards available to rent per-hour, half day, or whole day. The lake is beautiful at all times of the day and this campground is a beautiful place to enjoy nature and explore the woods.

Amazing campground with plenty of camping space! Bathrooms are okay and have flush toilets. Check out Hume lake in the morning and at the dawn for picturesque views of it! Book early in advance it’s one of the most popular campgrounds in the area and all for the right reasons!

When renting a camping spot, go through the state park website. The rented spot will be numbered and have your name. The spot includes an area to fit a tent plus some space, parking, a fire pit, and a picnic table. Restrooms are nearby. Pet friendly. There's a store nearby but limited supplies. Lake was beautiful. Bring a flashlight!

Beautiful scenery, small quiet lake, sandy beach area to hang out in the water, with store nearby if needed for last minute items, great spacious camp sites too along with trails for hiking nearby.

I would definitely stay at Hume Lake again! The hosts were great, coming around from time to time to make sure everything was going good. NO CELL RECEPTION UP THERE. We have T-Mobile so be prepared for that. The space we stayed at was #62. The view of the lake was not bad. (We thought this was tent only campground so when the giant RV pulled in across from us, it blocked our view of the lake, bummer) You can see it thru the trees still. Our campsite was slightly at a slope with some uneven ground. But nothing serious. You could fit only 2 cars in our space. Looks like all the campsites have a bear safe container, an old wooden picnic table, and a grill/fire pit included. We did have a water spigot across from us. The bathrooms were clean, but they didn't have lights inside. Bring a flashli
