I visited the Huguenot Memorial Park and campground as a day visitor. There were several RV campers, several people fishing on the Family Beach overlooking Fort George Inlet and on the other side was lots of boat and helicopter traffic over the St. Johns River and the Mayport Naval Station. The views were interesting with the Naval ships. There were tugboats and barges. Nice playground, showers and bathrooms. You can drive on the beach. There is no shade anywhere, just wide expanse of blue skies and palm trees scattered around.

One of if not the best place to stay camping in Jacksonville!! The natural beauty of this place makes you feel like you in a movie! Highly recommend, the staff are great and friendly anytime you have a question or issue they do great to accommodate you.

I previewed the site that I'm staying at this week. It's different than Hannah park, more of a beech setting. You can drive your four wheel vehicles on the beach. Can't wait.

I relax there with my family almost every day. Awesome place to relax with family and friends, you can walk on large rocks, look at the ships and also drive onto the beach in your car where you don't have to worry about parking, entrance costs only five dollars, this beach is open until 6 pm

Waterfront campsites with amazing views of the river and Navy base. Affordable, well run and extremely clean. Keep in mind that the front gate closes every night at 11PM and then no entrance until 6am. Plan accordingly and you will have the best time. Pets are only allowed for overnight campers.
