Customer Reviews
Great campground. Great hiking trails and fishing nearby. If I have only one complaint, it was the "vault" restrooms. They could have cleaned them up a little more. Excellent electric hookups.
Very nice park. The shower houses look very clean and recently redone. The bathroom over in A and B area could be redone with a door so that it would be cleaner. The paths need better and or more labeling. Notably absent are distances and directions as to the direction of travel to the falls or Indian mound. The lodge is very nice and the breakfast meal was fantastic.
Been coming here for 10 years with my wife, we were married here. She and her family have camped here every year her whole life. Large dog park, clean enough bathrooms, nice playgrounds and staff. My kids love camping here and so does the dog. I see lots of bad reviews left because of people being rude or trashy. I have had those experiences too, but irritating people existed before the campground and will continue to do so. Its not the parks fault. Maybe it's you. The electric sites are mostly level, but we tent camp, so its not a big deal. I will not be staying so close to the playground again though. Lots of traffic, but what could you expect. Lots of a raccoons
I would have given Hueston Woods 5 stars but the bathrooms on Memorial Day weekend were rarely cleaned and restocked. This state park is so nice though. There is so much to do between kayaking, hiking, biking, and running. My wife and I like to do things when we go camping and this state park has it all! We stayed on the older side of the campground and since our camper is less than 22’ we were able to pull it into our site (D035) easily even though it was a bit hilly. We walked through the newer side (A & B loops) which is mostly pull-through sites and also has quite a few full hook-up sites. It has more level sites and is very nice. Both sides have nice playgrounds and a good amount of trees. The bathrooms have plenty of toilets and shower stalls to accommodate holiday weekends when th
Camping. You have to park your camper In the grass unless you are in a pull thru site. Some sites are soooo small there in hardly room. We had reserved site in January. It had rained for 3 days pryor to our arrival. Many of the sites were just mud. The renovated bathhouse had the electric outlets up so high they couldn't be reached. Also appears to be some homeless living there.
