Hotel Turkey

Skip the breakfast go to Tony's. Had coffee in Styrofoam cups. Girl couldn't reach the HT cups. All you get for silverware is a fork to eat with and don't ask for anything else. Tony's has pancakes and anything else you want.

We decided to try this historic hotel on our way home from a vacation. We chose it because we wanted something different and different this hotel is! It is almost 100 years old. It’s a little noisy because of the wooden floors and the wooden stairs and the walls are very thin, but the owner is very nice and we had a pleasant overnight stay.

Had a great time staying at the historic Turkey Hotel. convenient location for visiting Caprock Canyon State Park, just a 20 minute drive down the road. Clean room and bathroom and comfortable bed. Excellent made to order hot breakfast available.

We stayed in one of the containers after a visit to Caprock Canyon state park. I had been wanting to stay in a container, and this one was so eclectic! The colors were vibrant, along with turquoise mini fridge, and replica Victrola, that we played a George Strait LP. The walk in shower was modern and roomy. Note to older guests - due to the narrow container, the bed was pushed up against the wall. Since we both get up a couple of times during the night, I slept on the fold out couch. I don’t think there has ever been a foldout couch invented, that is comfortable.

very nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms, in fact the only hotel in the neighborhood. Very good they offer dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and live music. Would be good to have the option to book extra dinner on another day Sunday. Breakfast is limited. Perhaps provide options for people who cannot eat eggs or have allergies (e.g pancakes, oats, yoghurt, fruit, ..)
