Hotel Stebbins

We have been coming here for years to meet with our Florida family. |Hotel is super clean, Hotel restaurants food is great! The guys loved the prime rib. The bar Tender is also super nice! Even though I’m not a drinker. My husband likes the bloody Mary’s made to your taste buds. He makes great ice cream drinks also. Kristine is a super host. Wendy in housekeeping is friendly and will make sure you have what you need. Very sweet town with good food and nice shops. They also have a fabulous bakery a couple blocks away, and a coffee shop called Tazo a plus! Everything is walkable. The beach walk way is just a couple blocks.

I’ve never actually stayed overnight here, but I’ve taken out-of-town friends to the bar—and it’s fantastic. The bartenders are quick-draw pros who keep everything moving with a smile, and the food is excellent. The whole place has that cozy, historic charm that makes you want to linger a little longer. If I find myself back in town, I’ll absolutely be stopping by again. I’m sad that we had to move away, but Hotel Stebbins will always be one of those warm memories that made Algoma feel like home for the short time I was there.

Algoma is a wonderful town to visit and Hotel Stebbins is a jewel both in accommodations and at their restaurant. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Will definitely plan a trip to include Hotel Stebbins again.

What a beautiful place to stay! So much charm, personality & calmness all in one! Right in the middle of ALGOMA downtown, tons to do in this quaint little town, but all relaxing and laid back. Just what the doctor ordered! The Stebbins has a very nice bar, pool table, great drinks & food, and beautiful rooms! We will be regulars here. We highly recommend The Stebbins Hotel!!

This review is of food and service in the bar. ||We arrived in Algoma on Friday afternoon. Our host recommended Hotel Stebbins with the mention of the Friday Seafood Buffet. We were intrigued and figured it might get busy. With the hope of making same-day reservations, I called twice with no call pickup. I left a voicemail with no response. ||Thinking we’d just take a chance, we arrived exactly at 4:30 and had a drink at the bar. The bartender just seemed…annoyed. Definitely not friendly. Interestingly, a call came in. It was obvious the caller was asking about the seafood buffet, and the bartender was listing off the buffet items. At some point, the caller must have heard enough to make a decision and shortened the conversation. Upon call hangup, the bartender was even more annoyed. “Well
