Hotel Sheldon

Hotel Sheldon has been a family favorite for many years, and this recent one-night solo get away did not disappoint. While I must admit I miss the vintage telephone and the charming historical photos, recent decor changes include a posh new lobby and updated rooms in calming shades of gray and blue, with all new furniture and bedding. Minor details noted include complimentary waters and a shower cap (something I often find missing in other hotels). What has not changed is the free coffee/tea 24/7, beach chairs and umbrellas (this saves you $40 a day from rentals) and beach towels. There are lifeguards on duty till 5 pm keeping things safe, and the central location makes it easy to get to everything on foot including multiple restaurants, convenience stores and live music venues. Positive: Location was great Negative: Under construction so they are trying. It was odd walking in. The place is a bare mess and our floor smelled awful. They are remodeling and the room itself was clean and nice. But nothing nice to say about everything else. Might be great in a few years!

In the center of all the Hollywood boardwalk has to offer sits the Sheldon hotel. A clean, well kept spot. Each room has a closet with a beach chair, beach towels, not too mention your regular ironing board, safe & hangers. The showers have great water pressure. The mini fridge is perfectly tucked in. The AC is cold!. Hotel Sheldon is Hollywood Beach Boardwalks true gem.

What a wonderful place to stay. We stopped here after a cruise and spent the night before flying home. Perfect location right on the beach. Terrific restaurants all around you on the boardwalk. Room looked directly onto the beach, the was a concert down the boardwalk but it was very quiet after everything closed up so no issues sleeping. We'll make this a vacation spot as we don't enjoy the craziness of south beach atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to get back there.

Hotel Sheldon is INCREDIBLE! We booked a Vrbo and was scammed. Vrbo reimbursed us, but we were still left in Hollywood. Florida with no place to go. We walked into Hotel Sheldon and Yanixia and Patricia listen to our story and went into action. They were able to give us the last room available from Monday to Thursday then moved us to a second room for duration of our stay. Our winged hotel angles worked their magic again and we did not have to move! Beautiful rooms and right on the Hollywood Beach boardwalk! Book here. We will again.
