Hotel Royal Oak

This hotel is an absolute riot! Stayed there twice now, two different rooms, same adorably hip uniqueness. The lounges and pool room are wonderful to hang out in especially with the convenience of ordering drinks to wherever you are! The staff is incredible. So very friendly and welcoming and attentive! Truly a gem and a pleasure to stay at!!

Hotel Royal Oak is honestly a motel on steroids... in the best way possible. It’s a genuinely charming place to stay. The lobby doubles as a Hi-Fi lounge where you can grab both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, along with some food, which immediately sets a cool, welcoming vibe. We were greeted by a very friendly and professional staff member, and the energy right from the start was positive and inviting. A nice touch is that each room has a QR code with the full menu, and they also offer room service, which made everything incredibly convenient. We stayed in the Penthouse Executive King room, so I can only speak to that experience, but the room was very nice, spotless, and clearly well cared for. We had a great stay and will absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in the area.

I travel back to Michigan from North Carolina often for short work trips, and every single time I return, I stay at Hotel Royal Oak. It is truly one of the most charming places around. The location is unbeatable—perfectly situated for getting anywhere you need to go. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Staying here has become one of my favorite parts of each trip. I just returned to North Carolina, and once again, I absolutely enjoyed my stay. I highly recommend checking out this hotel, and definitely take a look at the different room options—some of the upgraded rooms are incredibly cute and full of character. Great Location, easy parking and nice updating of old retro hotel. The room was large and the wifi was good with plenty of hot water in shower. I did find the bed not quite as comfortable as I like, but this could be a me thing, I appreciate a very firm bed. Also do to the motel nature and rooms facing the parking lot, a good amount of parking lot noise can come through. We heard a car doling in the parking lot for 30 minutes at midnight.|When we got there the remote for heat control was not working in our room, front office tried to fix it and when they couldn't get it done within 15 minutes they immediately moved us to comparable room, they were very polite and attentive regarding this.|I like how the room is furnished and updated.
