Hotel Pemaquid & Cottages

Clean, modern and utterly boring rooms in an exquisite location with excellent management and service. The rooms are not the thing at this location - they are clean, updated, and with excellent plumbing and A/C, but with no particular differentiation from any other clean and modern room anywhere. What distinguishes this hotel is the location - two min from the lighthouse and an adequate restaurant (when open), it offers incredible access to the unbelievable Maine seacoast in all its glory, and is a leisurely 7 min drive to the Hardy Ferry parking area if you are going to Monhegan Island (allow an extra 5 min to walk from the parking area to the ferry). Absolutely loved this hotel. I would return to Maine just to stay here. It is probably the most comfortable hotel. I've ever stayed in. The AC did have a motion sensor on it, but I easily looked up how to turn it off with the remote so it would stay on. The staff was super nice. It is a little ways from town, but the trade-off is being on the water at the lighthouse. Don't let the drive from town discourage you.This place is wonderful.

Location is great. right next to Seagull Gift Shop and Pemaquid Light house Park. We had room 2. Quiet place no microwave. Coffee and ice in the main building.

We LOVED our stay at Hotel Pemaquid. The lighthouse is within walking distance, along with the delicious SeaGulls restaurant and gift shop. Visiting from TN in October. A total vibe! ♡

We discovered this charming hotel, which was one of the few establishments that accommodated dogs. The owner was an exceptionally kind and welcoming lady. We stayed in one of the rooms in the lodge section, which made for easy entry and exit with our dog. The room was impeccably clean, appeared newly renovated, and emitted a pleasant aroma. The light house and restaurant within walking distance made it even more of a memorable stay. We look forward to visiting again soon.
