Hotel Cazan

We had such a wonderful stay at Hotel Cazan! The whole place is charming, quirky, and full of personality-more like a cozy boutique spot than a typical chain hotel. Our room was super clean and comfortable, and you can tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything welcoming. A huge shoutout to Valerie (and the team) for being such a warm, helpful host-she made check-in easy and truly made us feel at home. The location is also perfect if you're in town for Cajun music and local spots (Fred's is right nearby). If you want a unique stay with real small-town hospitality, I'd 100% recommend it-and I'd absolutely stay here again!

I stayed at Hotel Cazan last weekend and was so pleased with the hospitality that Ms. Valerie provided. The room was cozy and she went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed. I did stay in Room 13 and the bed was so comfortable that, even if a ghost did try to mess with me, I slept through it. The hotel is full of art and interesting artifacts. It was fun to just look around! It is right across the street from the famous Fred’s Lounge. There is also a bakery a few doors down that has awesome cheesecake. I highly recommend Hotel Cazan. It is, by far, the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced…and I worked in the hospitality industry for more than 15 years. So, go see Ms. Valerie, you won’t be disappointed!

We came to Mamou to enjoy a Saturday morning of live Cajun music at Fred’s Lounge and stayed across the street at the historical Hotel Cazan. This hotel was run by the wonderful Valerie and Gail who took very good care of us! We stayed in a Mardi Gras themed room and the bed was comfortable and the accommodations were nice, we had a very quiet couple of nights sleep, we even woke up with a note slipped under the door letting us know a tray with hot coffee was waiting on the other side! I’m telling all my friends to come to quaint little Mamou and stay at this cute little hotel!

Our group (of 16) will be talking about and holding on to the wonderful memories we made in Mamou for a long time, thanks mainly to the hospitality we received at Hotel Cazan. No, as hopefully you know, it is not part of a chain of hotels and they do not hold themselves to those standards, but what they DO HOLD to is being the friendliest, most accommodating little hotel that you can ever ask for. |First, let me tell you to definitely put this little town on your bucket list. Driving there you will think you are in the middle of nowhere until the little twinkling lights of Mamou appear. The town is so small you have NO trouble getting around. The walk through town included a couple of "full of character" cafes and taverns. Not many tourists here, just locals that welcome you with all their
