Horseshu Hotel & Casino

This was the precise place we needed to stop for the night. Cactus Pete’s annex, inexpensive option. Quiet, smoke free. Hike up the stairs, dated but clean. Liked the towels, few outlets for charging unless you unplug the lamps and clocks. Kitschy landline phone. You will wake up when the sun comes up with the light around the curtains. But you will be alive and rested for the rest of your journey.

This stay was unacceptable from a cleanliness and maintenance standpoint. A month in advance, we called to schedule two connecting rooms at Cactus Petes and were told we would not be charged until check-in. Within 24 hours, we were charged for both rooms. Fine—we were going to pay for it anyway—but it was not what we were told. When we arrived to check in at Cactus Petes, we were informed we had been placed in the Horseshu instead. When we questioned it, the manager said there was nothing they could do because it was reserved/scheduled through Travelocity/TripAdvisor. Bottom line: nothing we were told we would get was delivered, and the property took zero responsibility for fixing it. Room was nice. Yes it is older but definitely not bad at all. Was clean and was nice and warm when we got into the room. 1security concern. We stayed in the Buffalo and the outside door was broken so it didnt latch. And there is 2 beds in the room but 1 bed has a sheet and a hospital like blanket and the other bed had the heavy blanket plus the sheet and hospital like blanket. It was personally OK for us because we only needed 1 bed but we had to take a blanket from the other bed. I would stay there again if I went back out to Jackpot. Definitely didn't hate my stay. Staff at the casino were friendly.

Had very high hopes for this hotel, pictures seemed very nice, just to find out I had to go across the stupid highway, to go to the room that was actually booked. What the heck guys, not cool

The front desk is across the street at the casino. No refrigerator or microwave light above jacuzzi didn't work. Jacuzzi was nice room was clean. Had a patio. Town of Jackpot is in pacific time zone but runs on mountain time zone
