Hoochies II River Road Resort

Rooms are pretty standard but the rates are beyond reasonable. The bar is right across from the rooms and they have awesome food and drinks. Bartenders were attentive. Stay away from room 9 cause it's mine! JK just do it.

Had the displeasure of staying at this run down establishment for a hunting trip with some buddies. Unfortunately it felt more like a POW camp hidden deep in the caves of Saudi Arabia than a motel for comfort. The rooms were the size of a goodwill dressing room and the aroma was a stench rife with cleaning products that would act as tear gas as they wreak havoc on your respiratory system. The rooms had a layer of filth that seemed to be the collection of former guests poor hygiene and grime. Privacy was non existent inside the rooms as there were windows directly above the bed with battered blinds punished by years of use and abuse. Food was excellent. Service good. It was pretty quiet for 6pm on a Saturday. Watch the female bartender, she tried cheating on change. $1 for can of pop, pay with a 5, no change, now no trip. New hire watch out.

Small town bar, everyone knows everyone kinda thing. They have a menu with good food. Recommend getting a pizza they are fantastic. Service was good, friendly people, pool table. Gotta ask to play shake of the day.

It is a $45 a night motel. What's there to complain about? No wifi, tiny bathrooms, squishy mattress. $45 a night seems about right. Cool bar across the parking lot. Plenty of friendly locals and good deep fried food.
