Been duck hunting with Homra’s Guide Service for several years now and it never disappoints. The food is delicious, the hunts are always well organized, successful, and a whole lot of fun. What I appreciate most is being able to enjoy this time with my son and friends — those memories are priceless. Great people, great experience, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-notch hunt. Thank you from Jason Duffer and crew!

My family and I have been coming with Kyle & Jamil since before I could hold a gun. My first year I was 6 years old. I’m going to be 26 years old this year and the relationship and memories cultivated by Homra’s guide are a part of my soul. Kyle, Jamil, and their stellar guides have gone above and beyond, helping nurture as well as grow my love for the outdoors over the years. Outside of them being the best Duck Guide in the country, I even have fond memories from a couple fishing trips done with them. When you come hunt here you are coming for more than bagging some waterfowl or hooking fish, you are coming with people you could consider family. We had bad luck and we don’t hold that against the guides. That’s how hunting goes. We get it. But 2 days and 7 hunters and zero shots fired. But to be fair, we weren’t willing to hunt all day to kill 3-4 ducks. No shots fired by 10AM? Well, we weren’t gonna stay a whole lot longer. But the kicker was the guide Jameel (sp?). He gave us a butt chewing like I haven’t had in 30 years - said we were laughing and joking and grab-assing too much (we have hunted together for years at other locations and no other guides have scolded us about talking/laughing in blind). And he wouldn’t let it rest! After a few minutes he’d lay back into us “I came here to hunt. I don’t know about ya’ll.” ….. a few moments later…..if y’all want to laugh and joke I’ll take yall back….and on and on. Finally I had to s

Stayed at the lodge and hunted with Horma’s on 05, 06, 07 December 2024. Lodge was clean, beds were soft, shower was hot. Amenities at lodge were plentiful. We saved money by bringing groceries to cook. Can’t do that in a hotel in town. Last lodge was central to all hunting locations. Hunting was top shelf. Blinds were spacious with warm sitting area and separate shooting platform. There was no shortage of ducks or shooting opportunities as we killed our limit each day we were there. The guides were hunters first but in a great mood to talk and joke with us. These men were also knowledgeable and eager to talk ducks, both hunting and ecologically as well as the history of the area. Last breakfast and lunch were provided and were outstanding. Great experience on every hunt we’ve done with them! Two years in a row and will be making it three next year. Awesome hunts and good people running the guides. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a guide.
