Hometown Inn

My husband and my son were here in January to visit a family member in the hospital. My husband preferred to book from his phone while my son was driving up from Southern California with him rather than go to a hotel chain website with Booking dot com or Priceline as I had recommended. Truth be told, he would look for "reasonable" prices rather than pay for a quality and highly regarded hotel/motel. I questioned my son after I found at out by looking at midnight at my Find My Phone GPS and seeing them at another location. My son told me that they had left bags in the room at this place in order to drive to the hospital where our family member is. Room floor was very dirty, like they (don't mopp it) my socks kept getting so dirty in no time, I had to use my shoes or sandals throughout my stay. Light inside the bathroom wouldn’t turn off so it was all at all time. Bathroom exhaust fan was broken so there was a smell of humidity all the time. My room Key (card) needed to get programmed 3 times in 2 days stay. I’m attaching a picture of my 2 sons socks that they wore of only 10 min. In our room. This is how dirty the floor is. This hotel screams for renovation!! Everything is so old and in bad condition.

the gentleman that checked me in at night was very nice, and gave us a pretty safe room near the entrance. It was simple, nothing special, exactly what you pay for. My partner and I woke up at 11:30 and we’re running late, we tipped the maid and got out of there by noon. I told the front desk lady that we were just running late and we would definitely be back though, she said I wouldn’t get my deposit back. I told her that we would not be back then. If I was a business owner, I would return $13 deposit on the prospect of having a repeat customer. It’s just bad business, but whatever. They’re loss.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Photos don't represent the actual hotel conditions at all. Extremely filthy, suspicious guys in parking lot at night. Shower didn't work. Requested a different room, but the 2nd room was in similar conditions. Found roaches, bed bugs. Truly nightmare.

I stayed at this place for a few months off and on so let's go through a quick run down of the issues/things I saw there: Roaches Fridges in rooms that didn't work No hot water in the shower No cold water in the sink All water being turned of multiple days without notifying any guests Someone over dosing upstairs Cops wandering the halls at night Front desk giving private information to other guests Accidents in the parking lot because parking rules never enforced No EV chargers available because gas cars parked there illegally People sleeping in cars in the parking lot Broken sinks No working outlets No working remotes Unsupervised children under the age of 10 in the pool area Unleashed dogs Dog poop in public areas Male guests/tresspassers screaming at the female staff while male staff m
