This place should be put of biz. The 'updated' rooms are tiny, shortsighted and do not hide the old nature of this place. The manager John seemed to understand and do his best. Even when I asked to speak to his owners/ manager, there was nobody who would speak to me. ||He gave the service despite it. As best as he was was able to, but without support how could effect change. My issue is rooms are tiny, despite renovations, I'd rather stay on a motel 6. I asked for the manager or owner and he wpuldnt show his face. I had ants all over my ac. Dirty towels as fresh. Im walking. Yes walking across the country. They then threatened to call to call th police on me. Never actually answering my complaints. Have fun w the sitty owner . I only feel bad for John who did his best

It was obvious that my room and many recent improvements. That included a new and robust climate control unit. The bathroom was entirely new including new tile on the floor.||||It is still an older location. However one thing that I really despise is a non-smoking room that smells like stale smoke. There was zero old smoke odor in this room.||||The bed was reasonably comfortable. The TV, refrigerator, and microwave all seemed to be practically new.||||WiFi was sporadic and slow. Many things have been improved, but there is still room for improvement. If all you need is a room then you will be fine here.

The location has been closed for three years, but OYO took my reservation this morning and charged my card. They quickly got that canceled when i called back, so no worries. Only writing the review so you DO NOT BOOK HERE. It's closed.

While working in Western Kansas for the past few months I have learned that these folks are the best....everywhere. The owner of Hometown Inn is no exception. Paddy bends over backwards to make your stay comfortable. His dog, Guru, will welcome you with his gentle spirit. The motel is slowly going through renovations and improvements. Even still, it is a nice place to stay.

Rooms are recently remodeled, many premium channels on the TV, and the AC works wonderfully. The best part is the owner Patty is an amazing guy willling to do anything to accommodate the guests as well as his housekeeper Zach and front desk personnel Tonya were a pleasure to deal with if Patty was not available. Patty has a beautiful dog Guru that is the best trained dog I have seen in my life. All in all Hometown Inn is the place to stay when in western Kansas!!!!
