Homestead Ski Slopes

The location is not bad. we came here from DC on a Saturday in January and it wasn’t crowded at all. The Prices are little high for what’s offered. The Restaurant is very poorly managed with dirty dining rooms. Disgusting filthy bathrooms and way over priced for mediocre food.

Possibly the last weekend of tubing/ skiing (we went tubing) for 23/24. It was super fun even with only one run. We went with a small group and we had a blast!

Came to Homestead after driving 3 hours. We were excited to spend the day there since we got there at 1pm. We purchased a day pass but didn’t get to use it since it closed at 4pm (apparently has been the case for 3 weeks) We were not notified that everything would shut down at 4pm as well, there was no sign posted. Staff gave us different information and were not helpful. Felt robbed of a day pass, hoping for a refund.

Staff was not very friendly or helpful. The concierge was no help rude and didn't seem to know anything going on, and what they did tell us was wrong. The Hotel, I am sure, has seen better times.

Skiing is expensive. It is VERY expensive at the Homestead. Lift tickets are about what you'll pay out west, if you don't book in advance. The food is outrageously expensive. $10 for a hotdog expensive. Having said that, the slopes were very well groomed, there was never a wait in the lift line and everyone was over-the-top nice. Ski instructors were outstanding. My 6 year old went from never having skied ever to actually skiing from the top by day 2. We hemmoraged money on this trip, but we did have a great time.
