Hollywood By the Sea Hotel

I was worried about reviews but I’m glad I still went. The room was great and affordable for my family and walking distance from the beach. The room had a small kitchen with everything you need to cook, refrigerator and a small table. The room had 2 queen beds in which the bed stand had usb outlets to charge your electronics. There was plenty of parking spaces reserved for the place so no issues parking at any time of the day. Definitely would come back! The front office is not always open but that wasn’t an issue for us as we were too busy having fun at the beach.

I stayed at Hollywood by the Sea about 5 years ago when it was owned by a family. It had a washer and dryer on the premises, and parking on site was free. All needs were attended to in a timely and efficient manner and it was clean and kept up nicely. However, now, in 2025, it appears that a group or corporation has bought up many of the small hotels that WERE mom and pop. So, things have changed, and not for the better. I would say it is okay,....rating wise, a two and a half star. || The positive is the location of Hollywood by the Sea,....right off the beach and Broadwalk, two buildings from the Broadwalk. It is North of Margaritaville Resort,.....and just south of the Marriott. So, everything is within walking distance, which is great. Bars, restaurants, shops, the Bandstan

This was the worst experience ever. The staff is extremely rude, assign parking spots but then tell you “we’ll just park across the street” where you could possible be towed. This is AFTER PAYING OVER $100 FOR PARKING FOR 3 DAYS. The parking lot was awful, rooms have no sound proofing so you hear everything from next door to upstairs. The back door didn’t lock so we had to keep a chair by the back door. There were no paper towels in the kitchenette, you have to ask for every little thing they say the provide.

This place was disappointing and disgusting!! The play pen they provided was dirty , broken and stain of urine , we had to cover the whole playpen with sheets just so our toddler could not come in contact with the filth of the play pen,I also saw a roach in the bathroom. IWe made multiple attempts to contact the manager with no response.. We checked out the following morning even thought we paid for four nights.. We are currently reporting this place to the health department as well as get a credit from Expedia. Please stay away from this place and take these reviews seriously!!

Positive: Location is great. Very close to water and restaurants. Negative: A bit out dated.
