Hollywood Beach Marriott

My experience was unacceptable from start to finish, involving three separate room changes due to severe sanitation and maintenance issues. • Room 1: I was initially placed in a room without the booked balcony. More disturbingly, upon getting in bed, I discovered the bed was infested with ants. They were also all over the nightstand. I have video of this which I showed the front desk. Mind you, this was all happening at 10 pm at night when I had just landed. • Room 2: After requesting a move, I was placed in an ADA room. The lift in the shower appeared uncleaned and grimy. Additionally, the AC unit rattled incessantly, and the toilet malfunctioned, flushing/running automatically every 5-7 minutes. We stay here often on our trips to Florida. The hotel staff is one of the friendliest staffs we’ve come across, and we are regular Marriott customers. The rooms are good size, and while older, are well maintained. There is a nice bar on the beach for drinks or lunch. The front desk provides water bottles and snacks for guests during the day. Location is nice because you can walk to a lot of restaurants on the boardwalk and of course the beach in front of the hotel. Highly recommend. The staff even surprised us with a bottle of champagne to help us celebrate a special occasion!

Stayed there on January 6th for one night and wished we stayed a few more days. Will definitely be back. Everyone that worked there were so welcoming and nice. Never been to Hollywood before and the location right on the beach was amazing. Dinner at latitudes was excellent and our waiter Robin Escobar did a great job with recommendations, service and was very personable. The next morning we had breakfast there and were overlooking the ocean. Our waiter was Angel Q was also very personable and kept checking on us and did a great job. We have stayed at numerous Marriotts over the years and the breakfast buffet was one of the best. Stayed for one night in mid-November. Hotel staff were very friendly. Champagne, bottled water, and snacks at the front desk that were included in the resort fee were a nice touch. The public areas of the hotel are showing some wear for sure, but our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only complaint about the room was the shower water pressure - very, very low and no hot water in the early morning when we were getting ready for early morning flight - which is never a great way to start the morning. Front desk said it's normal early in the morning due to their boilers. At night, our room was nice and quiet, but in the morning, hall noise, housekeeping vacuums, and squeaky door hinges were very audible in the room.
