Hollow Log Cabins

Booked a last minute fishing trip to Dale Hollow and luckily found this place had availability. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities you could want. I pulled my 21’ bass boat and had plenty of room to maneuver in the circle driveway. My wife came with me and loved it, too. The owners were very responsive and great to work with. It’s only minutes from the lake and Celina. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Booked the cabin for a few nights and while the heating worked fine, the cabin clearly hadn't been cleaned well enough for a while. The sheets on the bed were filthy and hadn't been changed any time recently. There were bugs all over the floor, both living and dead. A couple nights in I was growing dizzy and felt sick and realized it was because the shower was covered in mold and mildew. I only thought to look more close when the bathroom reeked of sewage. There were loose toenails on the coffee table and someone left behind their vape pen on the patio. Don't stay here if you can, not until this place gets a proper deep clean.

So far, so good. We like the location, and the decor is perfect. The cabin is clean, smells clean, and has adequate lighting. We appreciate the heat being on upon arrival. The kitchen is well stocked, and we look forward to grilling out later this weekend!

We spent a few days at the cabins while in the area for some fishing charters on the river and the lake. It was awesome. We were able to get to shopping in 10 minutes for food, gas, take out restaurants, ice, whatever you need, but the cabins are tucked away in the hills over Dale Hollow Lake in the woods. We were able to meet our fishing guide for the river trip in 10 minutes, and the next day another guide for Dale Hollow trip in about 7 minutes as the road the cabins are on leads into a marina where they picked us up on the dock. The wifi is super strong, surprisingly. Nice hot water and also surprising water pressure as well. The side porch is great, even in the rain. We were very saddened by our stay. We stayed back in August. We wanted somewhere secluded to go for our anniversary and chose here for price, location, ratings. And honestly I don't know how it has such good ratings. It was SOOO DIRTY and infested with fruit flies/ gnats. The gnats/fruitflies were so bad we either would eat in our cars or went out to eat because you couldn't eat in peace inside the cabin. Plus the kitchen was completely unusable. The fridge/freezer stank, the microwave and stove had grease all over them. There was old food from other people in the cabinets and fridge. The cabinets and drawers with the silverware and dishes had food crumbles, dirt in them and were sticky. I could go on, it needed a DEEP cleaning. I wiped up all the rest of the dirt and dust with my lys
