Holiday Terrace Motel

The room was like something right out of a horror movie. The light switches turned nothing on. The TV didn't work. The toilet was a rocking chair. No towels, soap or shampoo - not even a trash can? The floor was literally coming apart and if not careful, you could trip on the uneven parts. The flooring was three different colors and a real hodge-podge. When they ran out of flooring, that's were it stopped. Didn't see any bugs but you knew they were there. The AC did work (amazingly) and the door did lock. Other that that, NOTHING was even close to acceptable. I renamed this place "The Rock Bottom Inn".

People are nice and will give you anything that you ask for while you’re there. But the rooms are not clean at all. If you want a clean room you have to do it yourself nobody else cleans it or puts clean sheets and covers on the beds. I googled it after we were already there seeing as how we were hit by hurricane Helene and didn’t have any cheap options to stay in closer motels. This was very cheap but for a reason. After I read the Google reviews I immediately bleached our whole room and bathroom, floors, everything you name it. Probably the cleanest room in the motel right now. Room 13. However the tub backs up while you shower. I used a plug to stop the water up when I showered so I’d at least know what water I was standing in. I arrived at reception and presented my booking reference, only to be met with a blank stare by the woman in charge. She didn't speak English, so went to find her son who did. My cards were not accepted by their machine, so I paid cash. I was given room 13, which was ominous, and so it proved. Although I only wanted a bed for two nights, I did expect a certain standard which, at this property was sadly lacking. The AC unit was at the top of the wall and had no grill on it, just the likelihood of an electric shock if I dared to adjust it. About thirty minutes after I'd arrived there was a fight in the car park, to which the police had to attend. I would rather sleep in a prison cell! This place is absolutely disgusting the owners are fraud pigs! Me and my husband have been living there because we hit a financial bump and we’ve been there for 4 months and they lie about money, they never clean anything, the rooms are disgusting there was literally 2 cigarette butts right next to our bed with someone else’s food trash next to it. The room smells like cigarettes and urine. There is literally poop stains all over the toilet seat, there are spider webs all in the showers, the sink doesn’t work. But the owners all drive fancy cars and wear fancy clothes . They want you to pay in cash (I personally believe because cash isn’t traceable) and they are rude and have no respect of privacy. DO NOT STAY HERE THERE IS A MOTEL ABOUT 10 MINUTES LE

If I could give zero stars, I would! Was in town for a wedding, this was our only choice for a place to stay. First room was dirty and AC didn't work so we were switched to another room. Cockroaches crawling on the blinds, on the mattress...bugs everywhere alive and dead!! Linens were stained, furniture was full of stains. We ended up leaving because the thought of sleeping in a cockroach infested room was disgusting. Turned in key, asked for money back and was told we stayed in the room for more than 30 minutes, so we were getting charged. Unless you are a fan of cockroaches crawling on you while you sleep, I would find other accommodations!!
