Holiday Inn Express Syracuse-Fairgrounds, an IHG Hotel

I come here very often for work, and have stayed for over 150 total nights over the past 3 years. The front desk is consistenyly amazing. The assistant manager Max is absolutely awesome. He's worked magic more than once in finding availability and merging my multiple reservations together, is always on it when booking via email, and helps with all sorts of random things. The staff here are the biggest reason I keep coming here instead of staying anywhere else in Syracuse. Also parts of the hotel are newly renovated, but all the other qualities pale in comparison to the awesome front desk.

Okay this place has top notch service! I had ordered a 6:30am wake up call and when I didn’t answer David from the front desk knocked on my door ensuring I was up on time and this alone was impressive. I also had an issue with the iron. It had a sticky deposit on the iron plate which burned my dress pants on contact (yes I should have checked the iron plate first but forgot). I told this to David as I was leaving for my morning meeting thinking they would just get me a new iron as am staying for few days and need to iron a few pairs of pants. When I got back to my room that night I had a new iron and hand written note from the General Manger Jennifer. She said that David had told her what happened and she had replaced the iron and offered me compensation. She told me to stop by the desk an

Positive: Hotel and room were very clean and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was great and had a lot of options each morning. Negative: Lack of communication between staff members regarding late checkout. I was told I could check out at 2pm and received a phone call at 1130am telling me checkout was at 11 and I needed to get my things.

I was not expecting the warm welcome and additional offerings this hotel offered. I thought it would be standard mid-range hotel. Our family (6 total) stayed for the SUNY ESF/Syracuse 2025 graduation weekend. The check-in was quick and instructions were clear, including the demo of how to work the shower. They were offering complimentary beer and wine as well as yummy hors d’oeurves that seemed to be catered, including bbq sliders and mozzarella and salami skewers and more. This is when we met the manager. I’ve literally never seen a Holiday Inn Express (or really any other hotel) Manager or staff not entirely behind the reception desk. She was out on the floor making sure we all had what we needed and cleaned up after everyone. She was so nice and exuded great customer relations. At lea

Don't ever get the rooms above the lobby they are very noisy by the workers and guests. The heat does not work correctly says its one temperature and its not. Will enter your room when your not there even though you have do not disturb on the door. Spit on the floor in the elevator for days told workers too. refrigerator did not work well at all.
