Holiday Inn Express & Suites Southport - Oak Island Area by IHG

This is my favorite place to stay, wherever I go. Always a wonderful experience at the Holiday Inn. Beautiful hotel, beautiful room. Love all the colors they use. Breakfast buffet is delicious and free. Always staffed, each and every Holiday Inn with kind, helpful and very friendly workers. I can't express how much I love every one of my stays. Price is so good and I would choose the Holiday Inn over ANY other hotel.

This hotel was wonderful, the rooms are large and clean. The staff was very helpful, friendly and respectful. They even came to our room to help us with the TV very quickly. The bed was comfortable and my husband even asked where he could buy one of their pillows. Would highly recommend, will come back again.

Do not stay here unless enjoy cold showers, sporadic heating, and being charged twice for your room! UPDATE: We did speak to the staff, several times, before being moved to a second room with warm water. The water was still too cool to be comfortable, but was better than ice cold. The double-charging issue was corrected the next day,after a bit of frustration and several phone calls, but not something that should be happening to begin with.

Had a short beach getaway and could not have picked a better place to stay! Lenoir and Amanda were so anxious to make our stay exceptional! Breakfast was delicious! Room was huge and very clean! Will certainly stay again! Thanks for making us so welcomed💕 L Griner

First thing we noticed, my children especially, was how dirty the fish tank was. The front desk lady the afternoon we checked in was professional but not friendly, joyful or very forthcoming. I asked for pool towels, to which she replied, she didn’t have any. Probably because the laundry basket in the pool was full, and yet, she didn’t take it upon herself to help out where needed if cleaning staff was insufficient. The pool wasn’t heated and the breakfast was overcooked, as usual. God forbid if you have to sleep on the pullout couch, ouch! We used to love this hotel when it opened up but clearly it’s not being cared for. The cleaning staff was friendly, and so was the breakfast attendant and morning desk lady.
