The good....the staff was amazing and VERY easy to ask questions. Everyone smiled and was pleasant. The location was great! Walmart, gas station and restaurant right around. The breakfast was hot, plentiful and very clean area. The bad......when we arrived at 830pm, we all wanted showers and there were 3 of us. We needed a few extra towels and were told that there were NO towels what so ever available. Then we asked for another pillow for the pull out couch and were told no pillows were available. Our bathroom door didn't latch when shut so it would swing open and we ended up putting a washcloth on the floor to block the door shut. On the day of our checkout, our keys wouldn't work after 8am so we had to keep going back to the front desk. The hot tub had a film that was oily on top. All in

Positive: The room and breakfast was good. Negative: They use too much chlorine in their pool and hot tub. Causing burning eyes, red and itchy skin on my whole family.

First, the hotel. It is the typical Holiday Inn Express. I was quite surprised to discover that the breakfast was utterly minimal. It was Thanksgiving morning and the manager had given the staff the day off, which I can understand. What I cannot understand is why there was so little food with a minimal selection - no juice whatsoever, only bananas for fruit, bran muffins, no bagels, etc. Then there was the issue with housekeeping. I was there two nights and nobody showed up to clean my room and make the bed.||Second, the cost. It turned out that I made my reservation through Expedia and they set me up for a day before I was to arrive. I did not find this fact out until the evening of the day I was supposed to check in. The rooms were clean and it was conveniently located near the interstate. The breakfast was nice and the worker for that area was, too. The hotel stinks terribly near the pool/elevator and in the hallways. Ammonia, maybe? Thankfully, it was not in the rooms, and hopefully it will be fixed. The pool area needs attention. The paint is peeling off the walls, the smell burns your nostrils, and the water is very cloudy. I asked the front desk on Saturday if anyone was going to trend to the pool and they told me not on the weekend, but we had been there since Thursday. We had 4 rooms. The morning of checkout each room received their invoice which was slipped under their doors and there were inconsistencies with the charges. We stayed at this hotel for one night (Jan 1–2). This was our second consecutive year staying here, as we had a good experience last year and specifically chose this hotel so our kids could enjoy the pool and the adults could relax in the hot tub after a 13-hour drive. Unfortunately, this stay was extremely disappointing. We checked in around 7:30 PM and went to the pool area around 8:30 PM. The pool had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the hot tub was filled with visible debris, making both completely unusable. My children had already changed into their swimsuits and were very disappointed. When I spoke with the front desk, the staff recommended that we not use the pool and informed me that other families had already canceled and left due to the same issue. This means the hotel was clear
