Holiday Inn Express & Suites O'Fallon/Shiloh by IHG

Pros: great location, good breakfast Cons: room was very nasty The location and the look of this hotel make it stand out. It is close to a lot of restaurants and easy travel to get in and out of. The breakfast was really good as well with a lot of options to choose from. The nastiness of my room, has definitely changed my mind on Holiday Inn. I will not stay here again as there are other hotels within the same area. My room had not been vacuumed, mopped, or swept. The dirt piles that had been swept up, were simply swept into the corners of the entryway and there was a bunch of crumbs, finger nails, and food under both beds. DO NOT STAY HERE. The staff are a piss poor representation of the company. My partner and I were kicked out of our room due to a noise complaint. The staff came to the room and wanting to know if everything is okay. Initially, my boyfriend told the staff everything is okay and that we would be leaving soon. The staff demanded to know if I was okay and after confirming that I was they were asked to leave us alone. One of the staff members who appeared to be on some kind of drug was extremely disrespectful and visually threatening towards my boyfriend. Words were exchanged and the situation escalated and then quickly quieted down. Parking lot not accommodating to trailers. Showers made a loud screeching sound when you turned the hot water on. Also the shower head was t getting good pressure because of super cheap tub faucet. Breakfast had biscuits and no gravy. I asked a simple question if there was gravy. Got a rude "what we have out here is what we have". Like who has no gravy but everything else. Honestly only reason I wrote this was because of rude breakfast lady.

I travel a lot, but didn't look at the reviews because I like Holiday Inn Express. As a Diamond member, I usually find that it's always a fair experience at worst, but this one I would recommend that you check out Fairview up the road or other locations. Not that this is a terrible place, it was clean and all. However my experience won't let me forget that I don't want to ever stay here again.
