Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lansing-Leavenworth, an IHG Hotel

I called ahead and asked about the pool being open. They said it was. After getting there seen the hot tub wasn't open which is what I really wanted but I guess I should have asked about that too. Almost everything that was in the wall (sprinkler system, bathtub spout, etc.) was not attached to the wall correctly. Meaning there were gaps next to them where you could see into wall. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was basic, nothing cooked.

The staff was very friendly and hospitable. Rooms were very clean and the shower head was absolutely amazing. I didn't like that I got a call two days before check in on a holiday weekend that the pool and Jacuzzi would be unavailable. Too late to book anywhere else, and I'm sure they knew ahead of time it wouldn't be available. Also, the free breakfast consisted of some scrambled eggs and a few bread choices by the time we got down to breakfast at about 8am. We stayed last night, the workers are amazing ( Jennifer) was so nice when we checked in very helpful. The room was great and the breakfast was better than any other place we've stayed. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a clean room and polite employees.

It's hard to review this place bc it's under construction and changing to Hilton, I believe they said. It was loud. The first room was never cleaned so they moved me. The vending machines didn't work although the staff said they did so I lost 4 bucks. The staff was nice. The location is good bc it's by a few fast food places a gas station and a Dollar General. So ok, to stay for one night. I did find the cost a bit high because of all the inconveniences, but hey it is what it is.

My wife and I stayed here in September and had several issues with the hotel. The housekeeping never came once to do our room, even though we specifically asked for housekeeping several times. The breakfast was definitely sub-par and didn't have many options. Also, the pictures on the website need to be updated because they do not reflect the current state of the hotel. There was one good thing about our visit though. When we first checked in, the graveyard shift front desk guy Ben was awesome and had amazing customer service :)
