Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Rapids-North by IHG

My husband and I just got back from a one-night stay with our three kids, and we were so impressed that I felt compelled to leave a great review. The pool and hot tub were very clean, and there was always someone making sure we had enough towels. The coffee and hot chocolate were always well stocked, and the rooms were very nice and cozy. We even had pillows labeled “soft” and “firm.” We were very grateful to find full-size bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion instead of the tiny, cheap ones that are typically provided at hotels. Breakfast was incredible and offered so many great options. The lady in charge of breakfast was very attentive and friendly to both my kids and me (she deserves a raise❤️). We would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to others.

I am a regular guest at the hotel as I travel to the area for work. I have never had any issues since I have been staying here. The staff are always so pleasant and accommodating. Management has gone out of their way on several occasions to accommodate requests. I would highly recommend this hotel, with raving reviews, and encourage anyone to stay here.

We got here pretty late, but the front desk staff was very nice. I asked for a ground for room since we have a very excitable preschooler, but he said he could accommodate us in the basement instead. Basement? Yes. In addition to 3 regular guest rooms, the pool, guest laundry, and fitness center are down there. There are windows - it's more of a walkout basement situation. Our room had been missed by housekeeping, but Wesley at the front desk was quick to change us to a clean one. Pool, spa, and fitness center all looked nice and clean, although we did not take advantage. Breakfast was pretty good, pancakes, pastries, packaged goods like yogurt, boiled eggs, muffins, several juices. Plenty of hot water, cold AC, and fairly spacious rooms. I would be glad to recommend this hotel to family

We checked in the hotel and they charged the card for the room. The next morning, we purchased breakfast and the assistant manager approached me and said the card didnt work which was surprising. He walked me over to the front desk and recharged the room rate again to that card without telling me or authorization. He bluntly lied to me saying it was for breakfast. I called and left messages for the manager to tell her what happened and no return call. Lastly, i called the IHG guest relations and they hung up on me without resolution. Sad that unprofessional event could happen to others. BE AWARE of this!

Booked a stay at this hotel on booking.com that I used it told me I could pay at the property when arriving at hotel guy stated that I could not pay with cash I had to use the card on file. My boyfriend and I had our 3 month old son with us as we were down here for an appointment for the next morning and home was 5 hours away. I only had cash. So we ran to dollar general to put the money on card. When arriving back at hotel was told that they didn’t accept my cash app card. I proceeded to ask what if I just cancelled the booking and did it so it charged my card right away. He told me they would still need a different card which I did not have. The guy was no help and told us to try a different hotel. Went over to the home2 suites by Hilton. They accepted my card and the customer service
