Holiday Inn Express & Suites El Dorado Hills, an IHG Hotel

The only reason I’m not leaving a 5 star is because the elevator was out of service. Super clean, beds were comfy, breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful. Josh at reception allowed me to email him a file to print out. They did call to tell us the elevator was out and invited us to join to receive additional points good toward our next stay.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay a pleasure. We stayed for over a week and were able to switch rooms as our needs changed.||While the property is older and shows signs of aging, it also demonstrates signs of recent investment. If you’re looking for a quiet room, consider the 4th floor facing the pool or lake, as the nearby restaurants can be quite noisy. Room 421 would be an excellent choice if the main room had better lighting and a door to separate the rooms (hint to management). The hotel features a modern BUNN coffee maker that grinds and dispenses freshly brewed coffee on demand which was highly utilized during our visit and prompted me to purchase the same machine for my office.||Overall, the staff’s exceptional service made this a truly 5-star sta

Came out for a 60th Surprise Birthday Party for a friend on the 11th. Checked in on a Fri, later than anticipated & checked out (late, thank you) on Sun. The staff was all great the whole weekend & friendly, especially during my during late Friday night check in. Breakfast in the AM was tasty w/nice options both hot (warm) or cold. The room was large & clean. Enjoyed it solo w/a king size bed all to my own. 1st floor room near the lobby & their pool, w/an open "patio area" out of the sliding glass door. Overall very quiet, except the room AC sounded kinda like my Dad's dishwasher does, when the fan would come on. But, it was enough "white noise" that I slept pretty well, despite that sound. I'd say great if you have kids or if you want to spend a little less. Breakfast ok -- the pancake machine was hilarious. Coffee not great. I was not impressed with the omelette. Cinnamon rolls good. Room is prefab stuff. grateful for the ironing board, iron and safe. Towels not impressive but not terrible. Comfortable sleep and room was quiet even though hotel was full. AC was LOUD. Needs a night light in bathroom. Now why was the EV charging station out of order? Staff kindly let me check in early and was friendly in/out of hotel during day. Best part was arriving after the rain, which allowed view of Sierra with dusting of snow. Elevator slow. Grateful to the desk staff that were able to find me a blow dryer when the one from my room was missing.

The location of this hotel makes it great for walking, lots of restaurants and great grocery store called the Nugget in walking distance, also a beautiful park. The hotel breakfast is great with 24 hour coffee machines that are convenient with fresh coffee anytime. Rooms are very nice with plenty of space for clothes. Bed was very comfortable, and the staff was always there to assist.
