Holiday Inn Express & Suites Crossville by IHG

We stayed three nights here, with our two young-elementary-aged kids, while in town for a family vacation. It was just perfect for us. The breakfast was good and nothing ran out. It was quiet and peaceful at night. Everything in the room worked and was in good shape. Our room was smaller than an identical room type in a different Holiday Inn Express earlier in our trip, but I understand there will be differences in a more rural area like Crossville. The staff was PHENOMENAL — every single person was friendly and helpful.

Positive: Laundry room available. Great breakfast with adequate seating and impeccably clean lobby area. Plenty of parking and luggage carts available. The kids favorite was afternoon cookies upon check-in and great temperature pool water. Negative: Upon check-in, we discovered room AC had a significant leak that soaked a large area of the carpet & room had a strong mildew odor. Although the only staff on duty (at 5pm) investigated quickly, his solution—febreeze & fan. Elevator broken.

Stayed on a weekend evening. This hotel was convenient to the interstate. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Building upkeep and cleanliness were excellent. Parking lot was well lit at night. Check-in and out were both simple. Breakfast included a variety of options (although for my family, we would have preferred scrambled eggs over the veggie omelette). Would definitely stay here again.

Did not live up to its billing. Moderate rates definitely not cheap and undergoing a remodel. Broken elevator and 3 flights of stairs was terribly inconvenient at best. Room cleanliness could use some work and would rate at a 5. I'm used to consistency at holiday inn express...they breakfast was anything but consistent. We travel this route every few months and I will no stay here again.

We stayed here a few weeks ago. We experienced a pretty big issue but reached out to the hotel shortly after getting home. I am so thankful for their customer service and their willingness to communicate with us, provide a refund, and address the issue. While what we dealt with wasn't pleasant, their customer service was beyond what I hoped for and I want to say thank you. Our family enjoyed the cookies in the lobby, unlimited coffee, cinnamon rolls, and veggie omelets.
