Holiday Inn Express & Suites Belle Vernon by IHG

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and it has slowly gone downhill. It was fine for one night but any longer of a stay I would stay somewhere else. Be careful taking a shower the hot water gets so hot, I like hot showers but it was boiling. Also the bed felt like we were sleeping on box springs only and no mattress. Breakfast needs to have more than one coffee caraf.

My family and I had a very positive experience at this hotel. Arrived later in the evening and front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. Room was clean and spacious enough for the 3 of us. Only con to the stay was there were no USB charging ports in the lamps in the room. The complimentary breakfast had a wide variety of foods that were kept well stocked.

I booked the Holiday Inn Bell Vernon location for October 23,24,25. I specifically booked this hotel because of the indoor swimming pool. I booked a couple of weeks in advance, and I repeatedly called the local phone number to the hotel of which no one ever answered, and it did not matter if I called in the morning midday or in the evening, no one answered the direct line phone number. I contacted Holiday Inn customer service and that individual sitting at a desk somewhere in a call Center assured me that the swimming pool was Fully operational and available for their tenants to use however, upon my arrival that was not the situation. I had already booked the room in advance and paid for it, and was not in a situation where I could be refunded to choose another local hotel location, such a

If I could give a zero for customer service I would. I booked a hotel reservation 2 weeks in advance for 4 kids and 2 adults. I called the day before my reservation date to confirm everything was good with the reservation and I was told everything was okay. I even confirmed that checking in at 9pm at night when we could get there would not be a problem. To my shock, we arrived at 9pm at night on the day of our room reservation only to be turned away by them because they cancelled our reservation the DAY OF. No one reached out to let us know and with 4 small children in tow we were not happy. Good location. Smelled like pot in the lobby. Room was quiet but needs some work. Definitely the most run down Holiday Inn I've stayed at. Apparently the key cards quit frequently requiring a trip back to the front desk.
