Holiday Inn Express Rolling Mdws-Schaumburg Area

Room was perfect. Very clean which is more than I can say about the breakfast area. Tables dirty, out of syrup, out of fresh fruit- both refilled after I asked. Like no one was monitoring the area. Saw no tables wiped while there for 45 minutes. AND, no cinnamon rolls. Has HIE done away with those?

This hotel is VERY dated. There was chewed gum on the headboard. The water never got hot just Luke warm. There is trash under the beds. The breakfast wasn't terrible but I've had better at other holiday inn express hotels. Will never stay here again.

My family and I had a great experience here! The staff refilled our towels and bedding daily. The staff was also responsive and friendly. The rooms were clean and the shower was very nice. The breakfast and coffee were okay. We felt very safe in the area where the hotel was located. Overall, we had a really great experience.

Not sure where to start. We have 3 rooms for my husband’s mother’s funeral. I should have chose any hotel over this one. The staff was friendly and helpful but it ends there. |This hotel needs major renovations and even with those, the sound is obnoxious here. People down the hall talking and it sounded like they’re outside our door. My daughter has a baby with her and she said the sounds outside in the hall are so loud she keeps waking up! |The room is dated, worn and truly uninviting. Terrible lighting and very dark. NOTHING on the walls. One smoke alarm is broke—no cover and no light in it. There is a second one in the room that looks to be working at least. Overall the hotel was nice. Our suite was extra big and was super spacious. Cleaners could do a better job there was a dead bug on the floor and the shower had hairs and brown stuff on it. In the hall ways it looks like they might be updating fire protection cause exposed wires in receptacles. The only ice maker in the hotel was on 5th floor. The ice maker was empty, looked like it was falling apart and had brown rust looking stuff in the ice. The pancake maker broke after 1 use. I didn’t think to take photos but should have.
