Holiday Inn Express Haskell-Wayne Area by IHG

LONG BUT TRUE! I was impressed when I first walked into the hotel. It was new very clean and the young lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. However, once we got into our room (traveling and staying for a week for the holidays with a 10 year old child) Immediately the TV would not work properly. Called the front desk and the young lady came to our room to see if she could fix it. She stated that happens a lot and she would try to reset it because maintenance was gone for the day. She was able to reset the TV, however, every 10 minutes the TV would just go black, you could hear the program clearly but the screen was completely black. Not wanting to keep calling the young lady at the desk because she was clearly the only staff available at the time. We kept turning it off and wait

I stay here regularly and have never experienced any issues. The room are clean and comfy. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Pool was a little colder than normal, and I wish they would get a waffle machine ! The pancake machine always has issues, other than that it’s a great place to stay.

I recently stayed at this Holiday Inn Express and truly enjoyed my quick, quiet, and stress-free stay. After having a streak of disappointing hotel experiences lately, this location was a refreshing change. I arrived around 9:30 PM and was checked in quickly with no issues at all. While heading up in the elevator, I noticed they had a small selection of drinks and snacks available, which is always a nice convenience. Once I got to my room, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well-maintained it was. The room was a great size, the beds were very comfortable, and everything felt well worth the price. Checkout the next morning was fast and easy, making the entire experience smooth from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and recently remodeled. Housekeeping was adequate although kept forgetting to replace the liner for the ice bucket. Pool area was clean and warm. Included breakfast was actually pretty darn good for a morning buffet style breakfast. It was hot and well attended to. Thanks to the food server staff. All on all a good experience.

Worst stay at a hotel. Ever. Room 212 has a heating unit that sounds like a lawn mower, has a window that is covered by the front entrance awning, and is located next to the ice maker. I don’t seek out special treatment as a club member but as they made a point to thank me at check-in for being a member of their club, why then give me an awful room? The response when I alerted them about the noisy unit: “I’ll tell maintenance.” *Sigh* IHG: train your front desk in basic hospitality. She seemed like a nice woman. The one star for service goes to the cleaning staff member who gave me fresh towels.
